Renewed Strength

"But those who wait on the Lord, shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31)

We read many books that will tell us what our attitude is to be like and what we are to be doing in our personal lives and in our ministries.  There is nothing wrong with those books, or the people that wrote them necessarily.  The thing that such books often lack is telling you where the strength comes from to accomplish those things.
It is as we wait on the Lord that we get a renewed strength.  To wait on the Lord is not a passive state, but means to expect, to collect, to gather together; to look patiently, to tarry or wait upon.  We wait upon the Lord by being in the Word, praying, and looking expectantly for further instructions and in order to receive the strength and wisdom that we need.
Do you feel feeble in your walk with the Lord? Wait upon Him.  He will give you whatever you need to follow Him and to serve Him according to His calling on your life.
